AkzoNobel Functional Chemicals presents Dissolvine® GL chelating agent for an optimal cleaning performance with respect for the environment.
Household and I&I cleaning formulations can perform their magic due to a combination of components each having its own function. Naturally, surfactants are responsible for the major part of the action, but they cannot do the job on their own. An essential ingredient in all hard surface cleaning formulations is the chelating agent or builder. Chelating agents have one unique property; they can form soluble complexes with di- and tri- valent metals ions. In cleaning formulations this functionality enables them to:
* Remove scale
* Soften the water
* Boost the hygienic cleaning action
Our chelating agent Dissolvine® GL (GLDA) is an excellent replacement for phosphates, phosphonates, EDTA and NTA because it is:
* Completely phosphorous free
* Has a low (eco)-toxicity profile: No environmental symbol and/or risk phrases required!
* Has an excellent cost-performance ratio
On top of this Dissolvine® GL is:
* Readily biodegradable (OECD 301D)
* Based on a natural sustainable source
* In compliance with eco-labels like Nordic Swan, Euroflower, Blaue Engel.
