Zoom will allow you to ask spoken and written questions, however if your internet connection is limited then you may find that the video may lag behind the audio.
YouTube will only allow you to ask written questions, but as YouTube buffers both the audio and video feed, so there is no lag.
YouTube is able to do this as the feed lags about 2 minutes behind the Zoom feed, as there is no need to allow people to have a spoken conversation.
Whichever method you use, please sign in on chat just your affiliation and your geographically location – its just like the badge you wear in a physical meeting and it enables networking which you would get in the coffee breaks during a real meeting, particularly in Zoom where we encourage you to privately chat equivalent to walking up to somebody during coffee.
