CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Abstract submission for consideration for an ORAL presentation is 7th May 2019 – Now Closed – abstracts uploaded here.

Abstract submission for a POSTER presentation extended to 10th June 2019.

Abstracts must be submitted using the correct template (see base of page) and emailed directly to formulax@formulation.org.uk with “Formula X Abstract” as the email title.

No abstracts sent by other means (fax, post) will be accepted.
Instructions must be followed strictly and those not conforming to the required format will be disqualified.

Type of presentation will be oral, poster or either.  Only a limited number of abstracts will be scheduled for both oral presentation and poster session.

The personal data of the presenting author must be filled in the submission form.

Each participant may submit up to two abstracts as a presenting author, either an oral and a poster or either.  If you do submit more than one abstract please do so on separate forms but attach the 2 abstracts to one email.

Abstract preparation
Abstracts should contain a sentence stating the study’s objective, a brief statement of methods, a summary of the results obtained and a statement of the conclusions. Please note that it will not be satisfactory to say ‘the results will be discussed’. Use a short and specific title. Capitalize initial letters of trade names.

Abstracts must be written in English and can not exceed 300 words.

Type your abstract using any word processor and using the template provided at the bottom of the page. Tables, graphics, figures and images can be included in the abstract. Ensure you include the title and authors in the abstract submission.

Topics
Authors should select the topic that better relates to the subject of the abstract. If convenient, the scientific committee is entitled to reallocate the abstract in a different topic. Topics are:

  1. Novel Characterisation of Formulations
  2. Innovative Coatings and Films including Functional Surfaces, Wetting and Surface Texture
  3. New Developments in Emulsions and Suspensions
  4. Formulation of Biologics
  5. Formulation of Nanomaterials
  6. Progess in Formulation of Pharmaceuticals
  7. Modern Powder Formulation
  8. Processing and Scale-up

Registration
All presenting authors must register for the Congress by 20th May 2019, at the latest, and pay the appropriate delegate fees.

Acceptance
Once the abstract has been submitted, the presenting author will receive an e-mail message within 3 days as confirmation of receipt stating the submission reference number.  Abstracts will be reviewed following the final submission date.  The Committee reserves the right to decide on the final form of presentation.

The notification of acceptance, stating the final reference number and details of day and time for oral presentation will be sent to the presenting author by e-mail by 12th May 2019.

Details of abstracts will appear in the program exactly as submitted.  Authors are requested to follow the rules and guidelines strictly and use the template provided. Authors are solely responsible for the correctness and accuracy of the data submitted.

Abstracts will be published in the program only on receipt of registration payment in full.

Ensure that the abstract does not exceed the 300 word limit and then send to Dr. Helen Ryder by email formulax@formulation.org.uk with “Formula X Abstract” as the email title.

Cancellations
If you wish to withdraw or cancel your abstract submission then this must be done via email by 23rd May 2019. Abstracts not withdrawn by 23rd May 2019 may appear in the program.
