Powder Flow 2009: Practice, Theory, Visualisation and Meaning
Wednesday 16 December 2009
At the RSC, Burlington House, London.
A one day seminar organised by the formulation group of the RSC on powder flows.
The seminar will journey through the latest, most up-to-date knowledge and praxis on powder flow measurement as a way to understand powder interactions and structuring. Leading scientists will present their work on the measurement and understanding powder powder flow, with a particular look at powder rheology as a tool to elucidate particulate interactions in phenomenon such as fluidisation, aerosolisation and handling of solid particulate matter. In addition theoretical understanding of powder flow, and their visualisation with the latest laser technology will be presented.
A call is also made for poster presentations. Abstracts (max 250 words) for posters on the topic of powder flow, measurement, theory, visualisation and understanding must be received by 1 November to be considered by the organising committee, and included in the conference programme.
An event of The Formulation Group (FSTG), in partnership with Freeman Technology and Dechema
