Prof Dennis Douroumis’ main research area includes the development of secondary continuous manufacturing using hot melt extrusion (HME), extrusion granulation coupled with PAT tools, development of nanoparticulates such as SLN and NLCs and application of ink jet and 3D printing technologies for the development of medical devices. Prof Douroumis is currently a Professor in Pharmaceutical Technology and Process Engineering at the University of Greenwich, and he is very well recognised expert in the field of extrusion. I am extremely pleased to invite him to present his talk on the Recent advances in extrusion processing of water insoluble drugs.
